Adam Henson visits Growers Garden!

Following the launch of our Broccoli Crisps we had a rather special visit the other day, as Adam Henson came to the East of Scotland to see what all the broccoli buzz was about.

His official visit on 22nd November came as part of his role as Lloyds Bank Farming Ambassador. Lloyds Bank is committed to supporting ethical practice and innovation in Scottish farming. And we could not be more thrilled that our bid to reduce food waste by using our ‘wonky veg’ to make sustainable snacks has been recognised.

The visit started, quite literally, at the roots of the business. All our broccoli comes from our very own fields and Adam was welcomed with a tour of our brand-new factory, in Cupar, which we purpose-built to be the first in the UK capable of making snacks using fresh vegetables as the no.1 ingredient. So there really is nothing else like Growers Garden Broccoli Crisps.

Managing Director for Growers Garden, Andrew Faichney , said “We were delighted to have Adam Henson with us for the day. It is such an exciting time for Growers Garden right now and a visit from someone so well respected in agriculture, as well as being the Farming Ambassador for Lloyds Bank, has only added to the broccoli buzz.”

This was not be the first time Lloyds Bank has shown support for agriculture in the region, having worked with East of Scotland Growers (ESG) for many years; a co-operative of farmers including many Growers Garden co-founders. However, Adam’s visit is a clear sign of Lloyds Bank’s focus on innovation and sustainability in protecting the future of farming and is welcome recognition of our Broccoli Crisps as an example of this in action.
